Dear Daughters,

My prayer for you is that you experience a holy Lent.  Try for 40 days to put aside the strife in the church, our country and the world and seek God.  Seek him through repentance and reconciliation.  Seek him through random acts of kindness.  Seek him by performing all tasks and responsibilities with excellence.

During this time of self sacrifice and discipline, look at your personal rule of life.  Are you maintaining your commitments?  Is God calling you to something more in your prayer life or opportunities for service?

As Daughters we all called to pray.  Pray with out ceasing during this Lenten season.  Open your heart to a new depth in your relationship with the Triune God and wait and watch as the passion of Christ unfolds in your life.

May your personal experience this Lenten season be one of great revelation and spiritual growth.

FHS,
Carole

Watch with Christ Vigil

Church of Our Saviour is offering an opportunity to commit to an hour spent with our Lord as we commemorate Jesus’ last night with his friends on earth.  Spend the time praying, reading the Bible, being quiet and listening, or using your senses to respond to the symbols of Jesus’ Passion.

Beginning at 10:00 PM on Maundy Thursday through Good Friday at 4:00 PM the Church of Our Saviour, in Jacksonville, will be open for prayer and vigil.  At St. John’s Chapel, in Fruit Cove, the Watch with Christ will begin Good Friday at 9:00 PM and go through Holy Saturday at 9:00 AM, ending with the Holy Saturday service.  Materials will be available to assist in prayer and contemplation. Security will be provided during hours of darkness.
