The Endowment Fund

The Endowment Fund was established to further the work of the Order in the extension of Christ’s Kingdom.  The Fund, which supports ongoing projects, was established in 1928 at the triennial convention in Washington D. C.  It is increased by bequests, thank offerings, memorials, and other special gifts from persons wishing to forward the objectives of the Daughters of the King.  Only the earnings are used, except in an emergency (and by vote of the executive committee), and if used, must be replaced.

Contributions are made three ways.

  • Memorials/Thanksgivings: Gifts of $10 or more are accepted as thank offerings for birthdays, weddings, childbirth, healing, or for any other blessing.  The name of the person being honored should accompany your gift, which will be recorded in the Book of Remembrance or the Book of Honor and Thanksgiving.

  • Bequests: Consider including DOK in your will.  Gifts to the Endowment Fund are important, since the principal remains in the Fund and only the earnings are used in the operating fund.

  • Lifetime Membership:  Lifetime Membership is paid in the lump sum of $750.  The moneys are invested and a portion of the earnings pays the National,  Provincial, and Diocesan dues of the lifetime members and also provides dues scholarships for Daughters who request financial assistance.

All Saints Day, November 1, has been set aside for the ingathering of the Endowment Fund.  Please consider one of the three options for giving, and... BE GENEROUS!
